This position is responsible for managing the databases, tools and processes used by the automated legal support (ALS) team. As a member of the ALS team, this position will create, implement and drive the quality processes which deliver superior client services and high quality work product outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience administering legal support applications at both an application level and server level; these tools include LAW, Relativity, iConectnxt, iConect Xera and Concordance, preferably at a major international law firm.
Basic Function
This exempt position is responsible for managing databases, tools and processes used by the automated legal support (ALS) team. As a member of the ALS team, this position will create, implement and drive quality processes which deliver superior client services and high quality work product outcomes.
Essential Duties
Responsible for the Administration of document review databases containing client evidence. These databases include but may not be limited to: Concordance, Lotus Notes, iConectnxt, iConect XERA, Relativity, LAW, Discovery 360, Livenote and a variety of cloud based eDiscovery database solutions.
Responsible for the quality of work product delivered by the Discovery Analysts.
Review and trend quality of work performed by peers and team to produce quality analysis reports.
Provide constructive feedback on at least a monthly basis to Manager of ALS regarding Discovery Analyst?s work product and ideas for streamlining productivity within the department.
Monitor work requests and assign to Discovery Analysts in order to achieve a workflow process which consistently produces high quality outcomes;
Provide consultation and mentorship to the Discovery Analysts on best practices and recommended ALS guidelines on a per task basis; as required.
Work directly with project coordinators in conjunction with other case team members to develop and execute appropriate litigation response and evidence management plans.
Function as the primary subject matter expert for all team support functions.
Work with internal and external resources to troubleshoot technical roadblocks and complex situations.
Take ownership of the situations and report issues / trends to the Manager of ALS.
Work with Discovery Analysts to clearly document results in the Knowledgebase and appropriately communicate to the entire ALS team.
Seeks out, identifies and implements the following: best practices, process documentation, updates for tools which support the process, quality controls for the process and troubleshooting any issues which may arise.
Co-Present at ALS presentations as needed.
Maintain ownership of the department Work Management System (WMS).
Automate processes and integrate with the WMS where possible.
Lead the technical aspect of automating processes, creating quick-fix scripts and the evaluating new technology and processes.
Leverage a combination of historical experience, ReadySuite, home grown tools and checklists to complete this function. Develop additional tools or scripts as required.
Participate in local and national thought leadership groups. ILTA, ACEDS, EDRM, or SEDONA.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationship
The Senior Discovery Analyst reports directly to Manager of Automated Legal Services.

Qualifications
Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum of 5 years industry experience working with a law firm that insources or service provider is preferred.
5 years of litigation support environment or legal service provider experience
5 years of litigation software use and administration.
5 years of experience with EDRM based solutions
5 years of experience working with SQL in a litigation support environment
5 years of on-the-fly scripting experience to design one off solutions
3 years of working with database load files within the context of the legal industry
Experience administering at a legal support applications at both an application level and server level; these tools include LAW, Relativity, iConectnxt, iConect Xera and Concordance
Experience managing backend databases of litigation support tools
Firm understanding of how to process and produce evidence for electronic discovery
Must be comfortable working in a highly innovative, fast-paced, rewarding environment

Education:
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology and / or Industry recognized certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to move around the office up to 15% of the time to make copies, fax, file, etc;
Remains stationary at least 85% of the time.
This position operates computers and other office productivity machines (e.g., fax machine, copier, printer, etc) on a regular basis.
Occasionally required to move documents or files weighing up to 15 lbs;
This position requires constant communication and exchange of information with the firm attorneys, clients and staff.
This position must be able to inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80% of the time.
Working Conditions
Office environment;
Working additional hours beyond the normal schedule will be required to meet firm or client demands.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
