Position overview
TI's Security Compliance program continues to evolve and the successful candidate will be a critical contributor to the success of this program. Creativity and ideas for improvement are highly encouraged in our open, collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring the global security compliance program.
- Communicate and interact with regulatory agencies, external consultants and internal groups.
- Assist in the planning, executing and reporting results of internal security assessments and compliance audits across the organization.
- Work closely with compliance team to develop and execute Security compliance audit work programs
- Initiate, track and monitor corrective action plans resulting from regulatory examinations and other internal/external analyses and audits to ensure compliance to corporate and regulatory standards
- Work with site management on remediation plans to close identified gaps and maintain controls emphasis in each respective area by addressing common opportunities with management
- Maintain central repository of documentation and evidence of process outputs related to Security policies and procedures. Review policies, procedures, and evidence for completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor the progress of corrective measures taken by site management and provide advice and innovative solutions regarding implementation of recommendations.
- Assist with due diligence activities related to the company's business partners
- Proactively conduct research on new laws, regulations and compliance best practices and standards in order to provide guidance to management and staff on regulatory requirements, audit concerns and process improvements.
- Contribute to identification and design improvements of compliance program initiatives as well as the assessment of progress, by assuming an active, involved role with compliance team
- Develop and implement various security policies and procedures, as assigned, to facilitate the development and documentation of standardized processes across the business to promote efficiency, effectiveness and enhance the existing control environment.
- Stay abreast of best practices and provide conduit for introducing those practices to the company.
- Identify and implement methods to maintain compliance and make recommendations regarding changes to existing programs based on evaluation of pertinent laws and regulations.
- Assist in training department personnel in various auditing techniques and procedures.
- Perform other department administrative support activities as requested.
- Assist in the development of compliance training materials (i.e., security awareness) to implement the processes of the company's related compliance programs.
Job Requirements
The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Qualified candidates will have strong research and analytical skills with prior Audit and Business experience. Proficiency in data mining and database management is required. Microsoft Office proficiency is a must.
The compliance auditor must have the ability to communicate professionally and interact with individuals across the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to travel (25%) is needed.

- Problem solving skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
- Effective writing skills including the ability to independently develop audit reports and correspondence with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of tools and methods used in organizing, managing and tracking large, long-term enterprise-level projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Technical knowledge of Security impacted regulatory programs and familiarization with audit testing and workpaper documentation standards
- Dedicated, independent and self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
- Ability to interview, negotiate, and brief management; ability to develop audit plans, conduct audit projects, and write reports to substantiate findings.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify needs, requirements, and develop recommendations based on identified risk.
- Ability to influence/persuade managers, business partners and key stakeholders
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and form objective conclusions/recommendations and to evaluate the effectiveness of recommendations.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
