One of our clients, The American Red Cross / Dallas Chapter, is searching for a Director of Development Operations to join their Development team immediately. This is a new position that will manage a team that will strategically and systematically support front-line fundraisers for both Fund Development and the Advancement Team. His / her team will assist the Region in meeting the annual revenue target by working with an assigned foundations portfolio of donors and prospects, as well as managing mass giving strategy, special events, data and research. The Director of Development Operations will also work in conjunction with the Deputy CDO, Directors of Corporate Relations and Director of Major Gifts to build an effective moves management process.
Experience/Qualifications
We are searching for someone who has a minimum of 7 years of major gift leadership experience (note: corporate and/or business to business sales leadership experience may be substituted for fundraising experience), and someone who has a minimum of 3 years of management experience. Significant expertise with Dallas' funding community is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree is highly desirable.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
