Description:
Rapidly growing Chicago-based proprietary trading firm seeks a Quantitative Developer to join its highly experienced quant development team to research and develop analytics that will contribute to new and existing trading strategies. The successful applicant for this position will work closely with traders and quants to implement trading strategies in the company's' proprietary trading system. The work will include building testing environments where strategies can be analyzed prior to deployment, monitoring the systems during trading, and building systems to perform post-trade analytics. The successful applicant will also help in building data analysis tools for both pre-trade parameters and post-trade risk analysis and will be involved in building the firm's next generation risk management systems.
Requirements:
-PhD/MS or BS with equivalent work experience in computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics or any other quant-focused course.
-Strong GPA (3.5 or higher).
-Excellent programming skills in C+
with 2-5 years of experience.
-Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
-Experience with Multithreading and Real Time systems in a Linux environment.
-Experience with Scripting languages, such as Python or Ruby, and/or statistical languages, such as R.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Experience in finance or trading is a definite plus.
-Experience with time-series data or large data set analysis a plus.
-A self-motivated personality with a passion for working on a quant team.
