Job summary
This position is responsible for processing all payroll information for a designated work group to ensure that personnel are paid timely and accurately. The work requires knowledge of accounting controls and payroll processes. Requires flexibility in adapting to change. This position also requires the ability to work under minimal supervision with accuracy and thoroughness.
Responsibilities
Process payroll documents for new hires, separations, transfers and other changes in the payroll system and maintain the integrity of the payroll data.
Administers the direct deposit function, including processing of enrollment and cancellation.
Response to emails throughout the day.
Prepares all payroll related reconciliations each pay cycle.
Gather data and information necessary to process off-cycle checks for new hires and separations.
Calculate and process overpayments.
Calculate and process Disability adjustments
Review payroll exception reports on a regular basis. Communicate correction to those needed as required.
Review and resolve Service Now Case Resolution.
Process/review wage and tax adjustments when required.
Work on special projects as assigned by the Supervisor
Knowledge and skills requirements
Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and document transactions and issues, with supervision, following standard HRSSC procedures
Understanding of the expectations of customers with an ability to deliver service that meets or exceeds customer's needs, within department guidelines
Adept at identifying and resolving issues that impact the delivery of quality service
English language skills - effective written and verbal communication
A positive can-do attitude and approach to responsibilities with an ability to meet new challenges and changes with an open mind
Demonstrated commitment to the job
Competent at working effectively with others within the HR Shared Services, field Americas People Team (APT), other Ernst & Young personnel, and external parties
Proficient with standard technology including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, intranet, and other APT-related applications
Requirements
Experience
A minimum of 1-3 years related payroll experience
Education
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Certification/Training
Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PeopleSoft and ADP payroll software a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
