Long-Haul Truck Drivers, Owners, & Own-Ops - 60% of net revenue to driver Transportation & Warehousing - Dallas, TX at Geebo

Long-Haul Truck Drivers, Owners, & Own-Ops - 60% of net revenue to driver

Almost all of the small to medium sized DFW based trucking companies running on percentage operate on a 50/50 pay plan.
In other words, the driver makes 50% of what's left after fuel, tolls, repairs, and expenses, and the truck owner makes 50%.
We are licensed to run in all 48 states, but DO NOT normally go to California, Oregon, or Washington.
We DO regularly run into New York City and New England.
If you own a truck, we will charge 15% to run under our authority as a contractor, using our dispatch, or the dispatch of other companies that we contract with.
If you find your own loads, instead of using our dispatch, we will charge 12%.
Owners will make 40% of the net revenue, and drivers will make 60%.
We require that trucks not operated by the owner to be sub-leased to the driver for 50% of the fixed cost per week, to protect us and the truck owner by maintaining contract driving status for the driver.
If you hire a driver, or allow us to hire one, you will only be making 40%, instead of the 50% you'd make elsewhere, but your trucks will have better quality drivers, and will not be subject to as much turnover, so it's a better pay-off in the long run.
We also require that trucks be governed to between 72 mph and 78 mph, unless they are being driven by the person who actually owns the truck, and that trucks undergo a quarterly inspection.
We will also be utilizing an operating escrow.
$500 per week will go into this escrow, from which fixed costs and road expenses will be deducted.
Half of any balance over $1,500 will be split between the owner and driver at the completion of each quarterly inspection.
At the present time, we are only leasing on a few own-ops, one at a time, but we are willing to make an exception for a small fleet of up to 5 trucks with their own plates.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
