Job Description Responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation and the highest level of ongoing support for mission critical systems.
Serves as a technical expert in the configuration management of complex, custom web-based applications and their supporting systems.
Recommends the redesign of systems and workflow as part of continual service improvement.
Investigates and analyzes feasibility of system requirements and develops specifications based on client needs.
Coordinates client-facing ticketing and workflow escalation with all support tiers.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design, implementation, documentation and maintenance of all managed environments including development, staging and production.

Roll out new servers and web-based applications using documented procedures.
Support all internal applications running on Windows, Linux and UNIX systems.
Performs troubleshooting as required.
As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving team members, external entities and other support personnel and/or organizations.
Develops security procedures to protect systems from unauthorized access, use and/or abuse Stays current with industry trends in systems administration, configuration/release management and automation technologies and recommends ways to integrate them into operations.
Plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures.
Communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.
Perform multiple concurrent tasks and effectively respond to and engage in emergency situations.
Establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility with colleagues and clients.

years' experience as a Systems Engineer Proven experience in a 24x7 operations environment Expert in Windows and Linux CentOS (via CLI) server administration Expert in web application management under IIS 6/7.

net/MSSQL, PHP/mySQL and Java/JBoss/Oracle technology stacks Strong ability to troubleshoot complex web-application failures, configuration issues, security vulnerabilities and performance bottlenecks Proficiency writing in scripting languages including PHP, PowerShell, Perl, shell and batch Proficiency with core networking services including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, firewall and VPN Not to be disclosed to any person other than authorized representatives of Technology Spa and Client without the express written consent of both parties.
