Job Description:
The USPI Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) will be a key member of the USPI Leadership team and Tenet Healthcare's Commercial Operations leadership team.
The USPI CSO is responsible for organic growth across the ambulatory surgery center and surgical hospital portfolio as well as USPI corporate strategy functional capabilities.
The role includes management of USPI Market Chief Strategy Officers, Business Development, Service Line Strategy Group as well as strategic programs that support USPI's annual and multi-year growth objectives.
The individual will also collaborate with corporate functions including but not limited to Communications, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Business Planning.
In addition, the USPI CSO is expected to be an active participant in USPI Leadership team forums, management processes and has a leadership role in the annual business planning process.
The USPI CSO will:
Proactively identify strategic growth opportunities across the portfolio or market specific to meet market demand and increase USPI market share through organic growth Evaluate, develop and align resources to implement and monitor strategies across the network, including collaborating with USPI market leadership to adapt strategies to optimize impact Actively utilize a data-driven approach to understand market dynamics, physician practice trends, and competition to inform and prioritize strategies for USPI Effectively manage and develop a high performing Market Chief Strategy Officer (Market CSOs) team, which includes responsibility for the national Business Development team members who report to respective Market CSOs Drive higher acuity, service line growth, including leading USPI's Service Line Strategy Group, to support operations to implement new or expand service line capabilities Lead USPI corporate strategy functional capabilities to support the development and implementation of system-wide best practices and growth programs Foster collaboration with physician group(s) and health system partner(s) to engage in strategic plans to achieve desired results in quality, service, operations, and financial metrics Participate as part of USPI's corporate leadership team to set system-wide priorities, drive business planning processes and address strategic opportunities Collaborate effectively with Tenet Healthcare corporate functions to leverage enterprise resources and best practices to optimize business outcomes Demonstrate excellent formal presentation and interpersonal communication skills that result in understanding of, and commitment to, strategic initiatives.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Business, or appropriately relevant field, is required.
A Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or Public Health is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of at least 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry with knowledge of the industry dynamics, business development and strategic planningOther requirements:
Exhibited success in a business development and / or strategy role in healthcare Proven experience in using data to drive strategic planning and implementation Skilled at team building and has a track-record of being a collaborative and effective manager Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to travel up to 30-50% of time, depending on need USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
