Here's What You Need EducationBachelor's Degree is required Experience5 Years In responsible positions with experience in physician practice healthcare compliance and privacy laws, Medicare/Medicaid requirements, Stark Laws, working experience with regulatory agencies and knowledge of OIG Compliance Program Guidance.
Knowledge of revenue cycle will be helpful.
is required Licenses and Certifications CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance Upon Hire is required OR CIA - Certified Internal Auditor Upon Hire is preferred.
CHPC- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance is preferred.
What You Will Do Compliance Program and Policies:
Develop THPG compliance policies for approval of THPG Board and management.
Assist the Director of Compliance & Privacy in all aspects of the Compliance Program, as needed.
Support the THPG Compliance Committee and its activities.
Prepare reports for the Director of Compliance to meet the needs of THPG Management, the THPG Board and the THR Chief Compliance Officer.
Participate in continuous improvement of the THPG Compliance Program in light of organization needs, risk areas and consistent with laws and regulations that impact THPG business operations.
See that the THPG annual compliance work plan is carried out promptly.
Assist with the development of annual Compliance work plan.
Identify Compliance policies needed.
Knowledge of current THPG policies.
Monitor MSI refunds to make sure that THPG complies with the government 60 day rule.
Compliance/Privacy Program Communication and Training:
Prepare and distribute compliance program communications as needed.
Serve as instructor for Compliance Education, as needed.
Develop core compliance training material for THPG and THM employees and monitor to assure that all mandatory education is completed timely.
Work with Human Resources, Regional Directors and other key THPG personnel in all aspects of the THPG Compliance Program and policies.
Maintain effective lines of communication to facilitate a pro active deployment of compliance initiatives, new developments and awareness within THPG of the Compliance Program.
Develop effective training.
Assist Jr.
Compliance Analyst with monitoring completion of mandatory training.
Maintain effective communication with THPG for Compliance and Privacy programs.
Maintain effective lines of communication to facilitate a pro active deployment of compliance initiatives and awareness of Compliance Program.
Compliance Monitoring:
Carry out projects as assigned under the THPG Annual Compliance Work Plan based upon identified risk areas.
Assist the Director of Compliance & Privacy with risk assessments and evaluation of controls.
Assimilate and analyze data as needed for trending and to identify high risk areas for focus of compliance activities and resources.
Oversee THPG processes to validate that employees, vendors and contractors are not excluded from participation in federal or state programs (GSA, LEIE, Texas OIG).
Investigate and resolve questions/concerns:
Perform follow-up on complaints and inquires received through internal reporting processes such as the THR Compliance Hot line, Compliance Email, Letters or other reporting mechanisms.
Obtain facts, carry out interviews and undertake activities necessary for detailed review and resolution.
Promptly investigate any reports of misconduct or suspected violations of laws, regulations or policies.
Prepare internal investigation reports.
Work with enforcement agencies as appropriate for confirmed criminal violations.
Along with Director of Compliance & Privacy serve as an internal consultant to THPG operations personnel regarding compliance questions and collaborate for continuous improvement.
Evaluate and make recommendations for improved controls and anti-fraud efforts.
Assist as needed in responding to government investigations or queries such as Office of Inspector General or other governmental agencies.
Carry out investigation and review as needed under the THR Identity Theft Prevention Program in instances of suspected identity theft.
Promptly investigate any reports of misconduct or suspected violations of laws, regulation or policies.
Carry out the THR no retaliation policy for good faith reports of suspected misconduct.
Coordinate with the Director Compliance & Privacy and others as needed to address the questions or concerns.
Respond timely to questions or concerns raised by employees or others.
Assist with responding timely to government programs or other payers inquiries, audits or reviews.
