As a Commercial Program Manager, you'll be responsible for establishing and achieving the strategic, operational, and financial objective of a specific program within the business unit.
Establish pricing, processes, and standardization across multiple sites to ensure business objectives are met.
Develops and manages relationships within a matrix organization involving Sales, Mobile Support, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering to ensure alignment with business objectives.
The Commercial Program Manager serves as the escalation path for Customer Account Leaders and Customer Project Managers to refer customers for dispute resolution.
Specific Accountabilities:
Develops and maintains the pricing structure for the assigned program.
Works with the quoting team to ensure sales quotes are aligned with business objectives.
Ensures pricing strategy is consistent across multiple sites.
Receives, evaluates, and responds to customer inquiries for products and services.
Assists Customer Account Leaders and Customer Project Managers with customer disputes.
Participates in the review, evaluation, and implementation of procurement policies to include large bulk purchases of spares inventory and whole engines purchases.
Reviews revenue and margin performance against established goals.
Initiates continuous improvement projects to drive Program growth and eliminate inefficiencies.
Assist engineering with identification, review, and financial impact of in-house repairs to help drive growth initiatives and reduce turn times.
Works with engine OEM to obtain approval of various repairs.
Develop and negotiate pricing for large Fleet accounts.
Monitors fleet performance against agreed terms to include turn times, revenue, margin, volume, etc.
Works with sales leadership to develop strategies to achieve program performance goals.
Monitors performance against these goals and adjusts strategy if needed.
Maintains a relationship with the engine program OEM.
Serves as a primary communication path for daily activity including communication with OEM hourly maintenance program team.
Analyzes materials sources and strategically directs the mix of new, surplus, overhauled, and repairable material.
Assists the materials team with escalation of parts shortages through engine OEM and other vendors.
Participates in valuation and payback analysis of potential procurement opportunities; exhibits an understanding of complex material/financial situations.
Exercises authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
Carries out special projects as assigned.
Technical Requirements:
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and customer service skills.
Strong product knowledge, including engine applications, technical knowledge of maintenance characteristics, familiarity with assemblies, modules, subassemblies and individual components, and familiarity with product Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)/technical manuals.
Experience with Honeywell TFE731 and GTCP36 series APU's.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Ability to travel up to 10% College diploma in business administration or a related discipline; or 10 years of related experience.
Experience in a sales, purchasing, negotiations, and/or related management role in an aerospace environment.
