System Support Analyst

Position
Summary:
The Application Support Specialist takes a pivotal role in providing both technical and business process expertise for our clients customer-oriented portal product.
In this capacity, the individual will collaborate closely with both business stakeholders and software developers to define requirements, troubleshoot and resolve complex production challenges, monitor system performance, develop user training materials, and document processes.
Position
Responsibilities:
Serve as a the portal subject matter expert (both technically and functionally) for business stakeholders and customers.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements for SNP-related projects.
Assist with daily support tickets and user issues.
Manage the portal account and security administration.
Create user training materials.
Oversee interface and process monitoring and manage alert escalations.
Conduct report creation and database research.
Undertake QA testing of new features, as well as coordinating with business for UAT testing purposes.
Develop technical support documentation.
Act as a liaison to the development team for projects, modifications, and issue prioritization.
Assist the Salesforce team as needed for testing, documentation, etc.
Position Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of web application components and architecture, with experience supporting large, complex, customer-facing systems.
Familiarity with web and web-adjacent technologies such as HTTP, SQL, REST, SFTP, JSON, JavaScript, etc.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and diagnose complex issues.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, waterfall, etc.
) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Comfortable coordinating and actively participating in meetings with IT and business stakeholders, taking a lead role when necessary to guide the conversations.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Strong knowledge of data analysis tools, database structure and design, and ability to write SQL queries for ad-hoc data analysis and reporting.
While this is not a software development position, some limited software development experience/familiarity would be beneficial, and exceptional SQL skills will be highly advantageous.
Experience in the convenience store and/or fuel industry would be considered an asset.
