Our research process focuses on using bottom-up fundamental analysis to identify securities through due diligence on industry and company specific trends, analysis of company reported financials as well as extensive modeling and valuation work.
This professional works in the corporate home office and directly supports the management of proprietary investment strategies and custom client solutions.
This position is critical to the efficient management, operations and implementation of client portfolio management team.
This position works on-site Monday through Friday at our Dallas, TX office.
Essential responsibilities and tasks of the Equity Research Analyst are:
Work with and support the investment committee on the discretionary management of proprietary SMA, allocation model portfolios, and alternative investments.
Primary responsibility will be to conduct research on existing and potential investments.
This includes, but is not limited to, fundamental analysis, financial modeling, valuation, and performance analysis to enhance the investment process.
Conduct fundamental research within the confines of the Firms proprietary investment process.
Dissect and project company financials; perform valuation analysis.
Synthesize data to generate new investment ideas and/or recommend investment action.
Communicate key findings and recommendations to Investment Committee (IC) members to help drive portfolio alpha.
Monitor developments in the financial markets to maintain an understanding of current and anticipated trends and how they may affect client portfolios.
Support IC in the development of research tools and special projects.
Communicate market technical moves and provide insight on markets relating to firm holdings.
Serve as a central resource for investment management research while compiling research as needed and leverage industry relationships to obtain research reports.
Speak with analysts and setup calls along with portfolio managers to discuss new and existing ideas for portfolios.
Work on firm-wide special projects related to operational efficiencies and process improvements.

Exceptional analytical skills and proven ability to dissect financial statements.
Competency assessing business models.
3-5 years of experience as an Analyst Ability to evaluate investment opportunities in a timely fashion and effectively communicate conclusions.
Excellent quantitative, verbal and written communication skills--must be able to provide a concise investment thesis for a range of audiences (from portfolio manager to unsophisticated client) Ability to collaborate as well as work independently Bachelor's degree required; MBA / CFA or working towards CFA is a plus! The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
