Summary:
An International Tax Senior Manager is responsible for advising clients of the tax implications relating to their business objectives, recommending alternate courses of action, as well as identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations.
In this role, the International Tax Senior Manager will be charged with marketing, networking and business development within his/her area of experience and specialization and maintaining key client relationships.
Additionally, the International Tax Senior Manager is a critical part of the office s / region s Tax Services leadership team and in this capacity will act as source for guidance on international tax questions and issues.
Job Duties:
Tax ConsultingDevelops, recommends and implements practical international tax consulting -ideas related to client situationsEnsures client service teams comply with firm policy regarding Written Tax Advice (WTA) Identifies and resolves complex taxation issues by applying multiple tax functional specialtiesCommunicates complex technical matters to clients and other appropriate audiences to ensure relevant issues are understood and resolved, as neededTax SpecializationContinues to develop an in-depth understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding international tax Acts as industry expert in international tax and services as U.

resource for tax matters with selected foreign jurisdictionsManages international tax services provided to assigned clients, including assessment of appropriate pricing structure for servicesIdentifies opportunities for tax alerts in areas of specialty and collaborates with National Tax Office on drafting of those alertsMarketing and Business DevelopmentExhibits thought leadership in a specialized area within international taxRecognized as industry group go-to person in international taxWork with Specialized Tax Services and International Tax Partners, Local Office Managing Partner and local and regional Business Development Managers to develop and execute an effective marketing planBuilds effective go-to-market strategies with Assurance PartnersResearchIdentifies complex situations when research is necessary providing an outline of the issue(s) and the appropriate source of research to be conductedAnalyzes researched facts and the sources utilized prior to composing a detailed report of the research findingsPrepares WTA and confers with National Tax Office as appropriateTax ComplianceManages client engagementsConducts detailed review of international tax aspects of U.

Supervises the day-to-day workload of International Tax, Managers, Senior Associates, Associates, and Interns on assigned engagements and reviews work product and ensures their technical developmentDelivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for International Tax Managers, Senior Associates, Associates, and InternsActs as mentor to International Tax Managers, Senior Associates and Associates and Interns, as appropriateQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
Bachelors degree, required; degree with a focus in Accounting, preferredJ.

Experience:
Eight (8) or more years of prior experience in corporate tax, international taxation, legal professional services or equivalent experience gained through an advanced degree program, requiredExperience in international tax, requiredExperience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis, requiredLicense/Certifications:
CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.
