The Network Engineer will be responsible for monitoring the network firewall, assessing the functionality of the network routers, ensuring all firmware software is updated regularly and maintaining the company phone system. Responsibilities Thorough understanding and effective troubleshooting methodology of TCP/IP protocols configuration and services such as DNS, DHCP, and SNMP, QOS Thorough understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Understand enterprise network technologies such as MPLS, DMVPN, SD-WAN Create test plans that allow for a proper evaluation of hardware and software being considered for implementation Administer Cisco VOIP phone system including Contact Center Understand VOIP issues and mitigation strategies Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing server and data center-related hardware Upgrade systems for servers and networking equipment including rack, stack, cabling of hardware Maintain monitoring platforms Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Record events, problems, and their resolutions in logs Conduct routine audits of a network environment to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines Assist Senior IT personnel with implementation of new service offerings The candidate should have intermediate networking skills including troubleshooting network problems, traffic monitoring, PC connectivity and debugging, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VRF, MPLS, EIGRP, BGP, SD-WAN Technologies Assist with user documentation and training Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and triage Layer 1 and 2 issues Assist with infrastructure design and vendor management of office build-outs and moves Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required 5-7 years experience in related field Experience in network design and setup Cisco technologies including IOS, ISR, ASR, ASA, Catalyst, Nexus, Callmanager, Unity Connection, Contact Center, Emergency Responder, Viptela Paloalto Networks, Pan-OS, Panorama Zscaler ZIA Solarwinds Orion NPM, Netflow, VoIP modules Ability to evaluate software package and plan for deployment. Self-motivated and team-oriented. Willing to learn advanced network concepts and design Proficiency in Microsoft Office and list other relevant systems or software Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation) Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
