SUMMARY This position is for those individuals seeking a career as an insurance broker who contributes in the direct production of revenue. This individual understands customer's businesses and industry. This individual supports collaborative business relationships, elicits client understanding and insight to advise and make recommendations. This individual will be responsible for renewal and new business production. This individual exercises discretion and uses independent judgment by demonstrating the aptitude to place insurance coverage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Handles renewal solicitations and solicits new business opportunities ? Reviews new and renewal business submissions for presentation to Market. ? Communicates with the producers and underwriters if additional information is deemed necessary. ? Discusses quotes with producers. ? Prepares binders and invoices. ? Prepares coverage issuance forms for policy processing. ? Prepares correspondence, letters, memos and faxes. ? Issues requests for additional information. ? Prepares additional information as warranted. ? Handles notices of cancellation and endorsement ? Maintains suspense system for documentation follow-up, renewal solicitation, etc. ? Makes the broker aware of all problems, complaints, or deadlines. ? Responsible for special projects and assignments as assigned by supervisor or department manager. ? Maintains thorough electronic files in ImageRight per our file structure guidelines. ? Follows work procedures and practices outlined by supervisor or department manager. ? Maintains production source contacts and communicates with producers and markets. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A.) from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Risk & Quantitative AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
