Finance Manager

The opportunity:

The Finance Manager is a highly visible mill-based role thatserves as a key member of the mill's leadership team, serving as a businessadvisor as well as liaison with WestRock divisional and corporate managementteams.
As a member of the mill leadership team, the Finance Manager is expected to befully engaged in mill productivity and process improvement projects and serveas a champion of the culture.
The Finance Manager oversees the finance andaccounting operations of the Mill to ensure adequacy and adherence to controlsystems, mill level processing, research and analyses, capital planning andanalysis, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting as well as managementand development of finance and accounting staff.
The Finance Manager is expected toparticipate in decision making that includes both financial and operationalviewpoints.How you willimpact WestRock:

The Finance Manager is ahighly visible member of the mill leadership team serving as the finance andaccounting lead at the facility and a key liaison with division and corporateteams.
Engage with mill leadership to improve the processes and profitability of the facility by identifying and analyzing improvement opportunities
Strong involvement with capital project analysis, tracking and audits of benefits.
Develop a financial reporting package that drives continuous improvement.
Adopt and serve as an advocate for mill cultural initiatives.
Lead and serve on mill level projects.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and WestRock controls and policies, working with internal and external auditors and audit requests.
Manage the monthly financial closing, meeting all established deadlines. This includes ensuring proper cut-offs, preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory costing and P analyses.
Prepare accurate forecasts and budgets while analyzing the data for trends and opportunities to improve performance.
Review and approve purchase orders, invoices and other items as needed.
Perform inventory observations and capital audits.
Ensure capital projects are placed-in-service in a timely manner and that retirements and transfers are handled as needed.
Review physical assets for utilization.
Identify any assets that may need depreciation life changes or adjustments.
Resolve processing exceptions and determining root causes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of centralized processing operations.
Youwill be responsible for training and development of the finance and accountingstaff members at the facilityWhatyou need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
MBA, CPA or CMA is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to work with mill leadership and operating teams.
Experience leading financial professionals.
Experience with Financial ERP systems such as JD Edwards and Hyperion.
Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office:

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
