As a Restaurant Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing and participating in the preparation of food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.
Essential Functions:
Oversee and prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
Oversee and maintain cleanliness and food sanitation.
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
Stock and maintain par levels for designated food station(s).
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, assisting with evaluations, training, scheduling and assigning work and delivering recognition and reward.
Assist Director of F&B in training, coaching, counseling, and hiring team members.
Assist Director of F&B in day to day operations of restaurant and evening reception.
Facilitate daily meetings to discuss SALT scores, business needs/requests, general housekeeping items, tastings; actively listen and engage associates to fully understand the needs of the business and guest during each shift on each day.

Be comfortable dealing with guests concerns; be able to anticipate guest needs and take immediate corrective action to appease guests.

EDUCATION:
High School education or equivalent experience.
Experience:
2 years restaurant experience required.
Hotel experience preferred, but not required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Availability:
Set schedules are not guaranteed.
The position requires early morning, weekday, weekend, and holiday availability.
Thorough knowledge of food outlet operations including foods, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction.
Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Hold a current Food Handler Card.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.
Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
Ability to operate beverage equipment, e.

Ability to transport up to 30 lbs.
through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
Lifting Thirty (30) pounds maximum.
Constant standing & walking required.
