You will be responsible for production and project management of graphics, assets, and initiatives with a wide variety of deliverables specifically created for Jan Barboglio, brand partners, and customers.
This position works collaboratively across the entire company, and with outside contractors to produce integrated and cohesive design solutions across all marketing channels.
This is a full-time role, reporting to the General Manager.
To be successful in this role, you should be highly adaptable, organized, and effective managing competing priorities for time and shared resources.
As the conduit for all things creative, you will directly impact the company's ability to meet market and marketing deadlines.
Professional communication and appearance is a must.
We are a nimble and deadline-driven organization requiring collaboration and a prevailing sense of urgency.
Experience in luxury, home accessories, manufacturing or wholesale is preferred.
Responsibilities Design:
Creates design calendar and tracks designs in the pipeline, following up with sampling, pricing, and production Maintains the design wall (pictures of work-in-progress designs) and the library of current and retired designs, in print and digital format Sources new vendors Shops the market and conducts competitive analysis Marketing:
Creates marketing calendars and manages production processes to ensure timely delivery of projects Creates price lists and various ad hoc marketing pieces Takes all creative jobs through the necessary review process, acting as the intermediary between the owner and external agencies/individuals for the creation of print and digital content o Format and pass graphic deliverables to owner to review (homepage updates, emails, ad hoc marketing materials, social media content) o Compile approved digital assets for the creation of bi-weekly digital newsletters, working in tandem with a contract Graphic Designer o Maintain exceptional organization of all assets internally as well as on platforms where assets are shared o Schedule and plan social media shoots regularly throughout the year, ranging from monthly to quarterly o Oversee product and lifestyle photography, creating detailed shot lists Add new products on to the website in Shopify Maintains high-level graphic standards and edit photos as needed for the website and any other marketing collateral Keeps current and curious with developing aesthetic in market Remains flexible to develop and complete special projects as they arise.
Delivers logos and other assets requested by in-house or out-of-house individuals Requirements Deep knowledge of pre-press and the print production (CMYK) environment with experience in the processes and environment of press checks Ability to organize and prioritize workload effectively without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to skillfully develop creative design concepts and articulate their application, excellent communicator, coordinator and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
Experience with management of assets such as photography, editorial, design and illustration content.
Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with ability to receive and process creative input from leadership staff and coworkers.
Possess strong time management and organizational skills.
BA or technical degree in Graphic Design Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a professional designer in a design-driven environment actively involved in strategic on-brand art direction.
