The American Heart Associations Internship Program provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, voluntary health organization.
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to join our Corporate and Community Marketing team within Healthcare Business Solutions at the American Heart Associations National Center.
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis and a knack for spotting trends and opportunities for our e-commerce business.
It requires an understanding of statistical methods, analytic techniques, modeling, and visualization to inform business decisions, particularly in marketing, engagement, and revenue.

Responsibilities Tasks could include things like the following:

Conducts data analysis, providing regular updates on trends and recommendations to help achieve business objectives.
Assist in ensuring data is well aligned with marketing programs.

Dashboard reporting of established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Collaborates on CRM analyses of customer segmentation and user experience journey mapping.

Performs statistical analysis and presents analysis findings to the marketing and e-commerce team.

Writes summary reports that interpret findings using interactive/dynamic dashboards created with tools like GA, Salesforce, Tableau, and Sprinklr.

Consistently monitors data, evaluates, and provides insights to business and/or campaign managers.

Identifies new research opportunities.

Observe data quality, integration, and segmentation and identify potential opportunities to enhance KPIs.

Analyze data using statistical methods such as logistic and linear regression; Customer Segmentation, GEE, or random effects models for longitudinal or multilevel analysis, latent class group-based analyses, and analysis of missing data.

Propose methods for the acquisition and retention of customers and stakeholders, such as setting standards for ideas, development, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns.

Create Tableau dashboards and analytic workflow projects such as Google Analytics, email journeys, scoring models, digital activity reports, channels summaries, etc.

Assists in market research studies conducted internally and externally to evaluate marketing campaigns and brand affinity.

Review paid and organic search performance; identify opportunities to enhance SEO.

Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to acquire their insights with respect to improved targeting, engagement, and decision-making buy-in.
Qualifications
Strong problem-solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Knowledge of analysis techniques Aptitude for monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data.

Education in marketing analysis such as market segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, business intelligence, and/or market research.

Basic SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries.

Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques:
hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.

Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.

Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
For any roles working remotely, the work must also be performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
