The Senior Manager LEAD Operations invests in our Purpose by leading efforts related to the safe, hospitable, efficient, and cost-effective utilization of Pilots, Check Airmen, Flight Instructors, flight simulators, and other training resources to conduct flight training operations in accordance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved Southwest Airlines manuals.
This role partners with Southwest Airlines Labor and Contract Admin, SWAPA, and TWU 557 Representatives to create and administer Training Scheduling policies and procedures as well as resolve grievance issues.

Conducts staff meetings on a regular basis to ensure standardization and gain commitment to share office goals Provides Flight Operations Leadership with guidance to efficiently operate the SWA training schedule in compliance with all FAR regulations, contractual rules, scheduling policies Provides detailed reports and oversees staffing for Instructors and Check Pilots Oversees all system projects including user acceptance testing and documentation of user guides.
Documents specific policies and procedures in training scheduling office manual Interprets FAA regulations and contractual provisions.
Develops implementation plans and establishes scheduling and training policies Acts as liaison between the Company and SWAPA and TWU 557 for scheduling and payroll related matters.
Researches and represents the Company in resolution of contractual and procedural questions or disputes.
Acts as a supporting member of the Company Negotiating Teams responsible for negotiating the SWAPA and TWU 557 contract Acts as Company representative for Pilot scheduling related issues in industry and regulatory forums May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to accomplish accurate work under tight time constraints while maintaining a high degree of flexibility under pressure Ability to use various PC applications Skilled in communication and ability to lead presentations Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand new concepts, and prepare written documents that convey information to others in an understandable manner Ability to envision future initiatives and meet deadlines Ability to keep abreast of information pertinent to the job such as regulatory or contractual changes and new systems or procedures Strong Leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to research, analyze, and recommend best practices Ability to provide timely constructive feedback and coach Team members Ability to thoroughly understand all contact documentation i.

Regulations, A/C, Contracts, etc Ability to manage multiple current task while working under tight time constraints with a high level of accuracy Ability to make sound decisions and problem solve Advanced- knowledge of SWAPA and TWU557 contracts Advanced - working knowledge of overall Flight Training Center operations that include; regulatory requirements of applicable FARs, and facility design Advanced - knowledge of FOTM/AQP-M and all internal applications Proficient - working knowledge of various computerized systems, with focus on Scheduling applications Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED Experience Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s) Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
All applicable FARs, CBAs, scheduling practices, etc.
Leading team initiatives Execution in collaboration Operation experience Experience working in heavily regulated environment Licensing/Certification N/A Physical Abilities Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job Other Qualifications Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines Must be a U.

Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $124,550.
00 per year to $138,400.
00 per year depending on qualifications and experience, with opportunity for future pay increases based on performance and market movement.
For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
