Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Overview:
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the payroll specialist responsible for the daily processing of multiple payroll cycles.
This role will assist in auditing of time sheets, communication with employees, managers, and HR.
This role will support Semi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly audits and coordinate month and year-end processing of reports, accruals, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Organize and process company payroll on bi-weekly basis with a high level of accuracy and minimal supervision Manage deductions for garnishments manage and audit bonuses and allowances in a timely fashion in accordance with policy and statutes Manage direct deposit creation and updates Perform audits and spot checks to payroll distributions to ensure accuracy Assist employees with wage verification Manage and organize mailing and contact information of staff whose checks return undelivered, and work to deliver their check to them Complete bi-weekly earnings report and audits Manage Personnel Actions Forms related to benefits and/or pay changes Maintain all Federal State and local payroll tax and agency reporting requirements Maintains competency in regards to software, technology and best practices as it relates to payroll and tax Provides Training of new management staff on payroll systems and protocols Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Paycom experience highly preferred Proficient with HRIS/Payroll systems Proficient in time management Advance knowledge of Google Apps (Drive, Mail, Sheets, etc.
) Knowledge of government compliance as it relates to payroll and taxes Ability and willingness to multi-task Thrives under pressure and maintains a positive attitude Microsoft Excel proficient Recommended Skills Auditing Google Applications Human Resources Human Resources Information System (Hris) Microsoft Excel Multitasking Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
