Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech and language abilities through virtual platformsAnalyze assessment results to identify speech and language disorders and formulate individualized treatment plansIndividualized Therapy:
Provide virtual speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needsDevelop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies to address speech and language goalsCollaboration:
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support the integration of speech and language goals into the overall educational planParticipate in virtual IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to discuss students' progress and update goals as neededDocumentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reportsEnsure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations regarding special education and speech-language servicesProfessional Development:
Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and developments in the field of speech-language pathologyEngage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited programCurrent Texas licensure as a Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy capacityStrong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleaguesProficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and other relevant technologyWhy Contract with Spindle?
