Payroll/HR Operations Specialist

Payroll/HR Operations Specialist Farmers Branch TX 6-month contract with high possibility of extension Pay rate:
$22/hr.
We are looking for a Payroll/HR Operations Specialist to join one of our Fortune 500 client's projects in Farmers Branch TX.
Analyses verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professional workers in a variety of scientific areas.
May be proficient in qualitative and/or quantitative lab methods.
Includes all levels of education and experience.
Required skills:
Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent education and experience.

years of proven experience in payroll processing, reporting, data analysis, or reconciliations.
Strong grasp of payroll implications on payroll tax and accounting.
Ability to generate and modify reports using Global view reports and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word at an advanced level.
Self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to initiate change with a positive attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and excellent customer service skills.
Adaptability and willingness to drive change, while being an effective team player.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

years of payroll experience, particularly with ADP's GlobalView system.
American Payroll Association (APA) CPP or FPC certification.
Prior experience in Canadian payroll and wage garnishment processing.
Responsible:
age and hour laws for approximately 40,000 employees across multiple states and countries (US & Canada).
Execute payroll activities encompassing new hires, STD, wage assignments, expatriate compensation, bonus payments, direct deposit setups, terminations, and more.
Validate and manage automated timekeeping hours files to ensure accuracy.
Generate out-of-sequence pay entries for rectification purposes.
Oversee tax and general ledger processes, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate reporting to ADP and Accounting departments.
Collaborate across various departments, supporting payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits.
Create and resolve service requests with third-party payroll providers.
Facilitate training for new payroll staff and identify and process critical pay-related incidents.
Respond to incoming inquiries related to payroll promptly, escalating complex issues internally when necessary.
Stay updated on payroll and HR policies and adhere to applicable laws and regulations.
