The open position is for a Vice President in the Dallas office who will be dedicated to executing client engagements as well as growing the firm's Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory (PV) practiceThe PV practice is a leader in providing valuations of illiquid debt and equity securities held by hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies in connection with fair value reporting of the fund's assets to investors as well as providing a variety of bespoke fund advisory services in complex transactions involving illiquid investmentsThe PV practice's clients include preeminent global alternative asset managers in a highly recurring and periodic business model.
Job DescriptionThe firm's Financial and Valuation Advisory (FVA) practice is looking to add talented financial professionals at the Vice President level to focus on managing the execution of client engagements and building out their Portfolio Valuation and Fund Advisory (PV) practiceWhile the primary execution and business development focus will be PV, all members of the FVA practice are expected to broadly facilitate the firm's growth by cross-selling other FVA, Corporate Finance, and Restructuring service offerings provided by the firm.
The PV-dedicated Vice President in their Financial and Valuation Advisory Services business will be a fully integrated member of engagement teams, which can range in size from two to five membersAs a Vice President, primary activities will include overall project management execution; presenting analyses and conclusions internally and externally to their clients; acting as the lead professional on engagements, which includes managing the day-to-day tasks of projects and serving as a principal contact with client personnel; managing client deliverables; reviewing presentations; participating in diligence meetings; directing the efforts of Associates and Financial Analysts; negotiating engagement documents; networking with prospects to build revenue producing relationships; and driving business development events and initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include:
Leading business and financial due diligence sessions with clients;Providing leadership and guidance towards valuing companies, businesses and securities;Leading the valuation review process;Presenting valuation analyses and conclusions internally and externally;Managing client deliverables;The ability to assist in building and reviewing complex financial models (e.
g.
, to value specific securities or transaction structures);Assisting in quality control, execution, and industry consultation across the entire financial advisory services platform;Creative content development, thought leadership and collaboration across service lines;Preparing fee proposals to clients, including scoping discussions, pitch materials and internal engagement pricing committee memoranda;Pitching engagements and leading in business development initiatives; andBuilding relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and have a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionalsPrior equity and/or debt valuation or related experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced accounting, finance, financial modeling and analytical abilitiesDemonstrated experience managing Analysts/Associates or other personnelEntrepreneurial attitude:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
