Summary:
Primary responsibility is to provide effective marketing strategies and provide excellent writing and content creation for those marketing strategies to support the Communications team through various writing projects such as service line campaigns, articles, blogs, social posts, scripts, special projects and supporting the hospital as a world leader in patient care, research and education in pediatric orthopedicsThe role will be an integral member of the team, providing high quality, effective content and marketing strategy to ensure the team's successTo be successful in this role, you must have excellent writing skills, fast turn times and strict attention to deadlines and resource management, quick comprehension of audience and tone, adaptability and flexibility, excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a team setting.
Job Description:
- Increase awareness about Scottish Rite for Children's expertise in pediatric orthopedics, positioning Scottish Rite as a world leader in patient care, research and education through short and long form written content following the tone and voice of the brand- Create strategy, plan, initiate and craft compelling, activating ad content for marketing service lines and adjust strategies and output for optimal performance- Work with other Communications department staff to identify topics of interest with a clear purpose as well as creating content strategies and maintaining and analyzing a content calendar- Provide communications and related support to raise awareness about the Scottish Rite's mission by engaging in cross-departmental marketing campaigns/efforts- Manage the full life cycle of the content creation process, packaging content with photos, titles, infographics, etc.- Create strategies for new communications outreach and creative methods of social, digital and traditional marketing that will result in short- and long-term growth- Determine and develop content priorities and themes for the long-range content calendar, with the support of the editorial team- Understand Scottish Rite Hospital's target audiences to evolve the brand's voice through creative and useful content- Work with the extended internal and agency teams to execute and deliver content according to deadlines- Perform various copy-related tasks from high-level strategy to daily editing and coordinating team workflow to create compelling stories about patients, the hospital, special events/fundraising, etc.- Monitor day-to-day activities to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget- Contribute to and edit quarterly external magazine/newsletter, bi-monthly internal newsletter and annual progress report and calendar- Other writing opportunities for various publications- Work closely with web content and social media team members to support social media postings and web-based marketing initiatives- Help coordinate photo shoots or filming, as needed- Script writing for patient stories, physician expertise and information videosEducation/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications or a related field and demonstrated writing, editing, copyediting and proofreading skills6 - 8 years of experience in marketing or journalism; 3 - 5 years of experience in specialized marketing/advertising agency preferredShould possess excellent written and verbal communication and organization skillsMust be able to interact effectively with all levels of medical and administrative staffMust work well under deadline pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyComfortable working with Mac and PC operating systemsExcellent Microsoft Office and related computer skills are requiredExperience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Recommended Skills Adaptability Administration Adobe Creative Suite Advertising Communication Coordinating Apply to this job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
