Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject matter expert in Alation platform engineering, focusing on data cataloging and governance. Implement robust change management processes and ensure compliance with role-based access control (RBAC) within data governance frameworks. Facilitate the ingestion of metadata and establish connectivity with various data sources. Resolve user issues and address continuity and connectivity challenges. Host and manage the Alation platform within the Azure cloud environment. Perform installation, configuration, and integration tasks in both non-production and production environments. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Alation with other systems, including SAP CC and SQL Server, as well as visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau. Provide timely and effective support to users, troubleshooting technical issues as needed. Willingness to travel to the Dallas office periodically for in-person collaboration and meetings. Requirements:
Proven experience and expertise in Alation platform engineering and administration. Strong understanding of change management principles and RBAC implementation within data governance. Proficiency in metadata management and connectivity troubleshooting. Experience with cloud hosting, particularly within Azure. Demonstrated ability to configure and integrate Alation with other systems and tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a hybrid remote and in-office environment.
