6 - months contract to convert to full-time Responsibilities & Qualifications? o Experience working with data sets in a cloud environment, preferably Google Cloud (GCP) o Experience with data lineage o SQL & ETL experience o Master Data management experience, is a plusDevelop and Document Data Governance Policies:
Draft clear and comprehensive policies that outline data ownership, access controls, security protocols, data quality standards, retention guidelines, and ethical data usage principles.Implement Data Governance Framework:
Translate policies into operational procedures, processes, and systems, ensuring alignment with the organization's broader data strategy.Establish Data Stewardship:
Identify and appoint data stewards for specific data domains, empowering them to uphold data governance practices within their areas of responsibility.Oversee Data Quality:
Define data quality metrics and implement processes for data profiling, cleansing, validation, and monitoring to maintain data accuracy and completeness, using tools like SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (e.g., GCP).Manage Data Access & Security:
Establish protocols for granting data access based on roles and business needs, while safeguarding sensitive data against unauthorized use or breaches. Enforce Data Compliance:
Ensure adherence to relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) by implementing appropriate governance controls and conducting regular compliance audits.Build Data Dictionaries & Metadata:
Create and maintain a centralized repository of data definitions, lineage, and other metadata to enhance data understanding and usability.Train & Educate Stakeholders:
Develop and deliver training programs on data governance principles and best practices, including technical skills (SQL, cloud data platforms, data visualization tools like Tableau) to foster a data-driven culture across the organization.Monitor & Report on Governance Metrics:
Track KPIs to assess the effectiveness of the data governance program, identifying areas for improvement and reporting to stakeholders.Collaborate across Teams:
Work closely with IT, data engineers, business stakeholders, and the data governance team to ensure seamless integration of data governance principles into all data-related operations.Pay Details:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
