1K a year Mechanical Design Drafter We are seeking a Mechanical Design Drafter with 1-5 years of experience to convert HVAC system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth by the Engineer, as well as information gathered from other users.
Job Description Prepare clear, complete, and accurate detail drawings from rough drafts, detailed sketches and/or notes, for engineering or manufacturing purposes.
Responsibilities include creating equipment and bill of material lists, including weights and specifications.
Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for manufacturing.
Decision making will be within the team environment The position entails simultaneously working on multiple projects using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Qualifications and Requirements Proficient in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering terminology - ranging from piping, structural and sheet metal drawings preferred.
Completion of a Drafting Technology Program or Associates degree preferred but not required.
Able to produce intelligent 3D models and precise engineering drawings.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Medium to heavy engineering background will be an advantage.
Self-driven.
Work accurately and concisely within a project time frame.
Good communication skills.
