Position SummaryDeloitte Tax LLP seeks a Tax Senior Manager in Dallas, TX.

Manage risk assessment for VAT recoveries for U.

multinational companies.
Assist multinational clients with integrating tax planning into their overall business strategy.
Oversee research related to methods of improving VAT recovery and managing risk of material VAT exposure for U.
S.
multinational companies.
Oversee international tax professionals with regard to international compliances, research, consulting, and planning issues.
Research, analyze, and document findings on complex tax issues related to VAT, including Intrastat requirements.
Draft and assist in the delivery of proposals for engagements and the range of services offered by the organization.
Provide leadership and ensure the delivery of services exceed client expectations.
Responsible for engagement budgeting, billing, management, and scheduling.

Two years of experience advising multinational companies on the indirect tax implications of their international operations with respect to value-added tax (VAT).
Experience must include two years of:
Providing technical advice to clients regarding value added tax regimes outside of the US;Assisting clients with value added tax obligations outside of the US, including audit location, navigating voluntary disclosure, and disputing a tax assessment;Identifying and assessing international indirect tax considerations as part of merger and acquisition projects involving assets and legal entities located outside of the US;Assisting clients with relevant international indirect tax considerations as part of international business transformation projects;Leading indirect tax compliance assistance for indirect tax reporting obligations outside the US;Applying VAT legislation, including providing technical and practical VAT consulting and advisory services and applying VAT law standards, to multinational businesses in the financial services industry;Providing tax technical advice in relation to the implementation of ERP and financial implementations, including SAP and Oracle, to handle VAT accounting (including advice on software or systems selections, gap analysis on VAT functionality, recommendations on options, solutions and implementations);Researching changes to global VAT law and VAT case law through the use of various resources, including Jura, IBFD (International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation), CCH, Taxnet Pro, Azimut, OECD, CURIA, and CJEU;Corresponding with clients in relation to their VAT matters, providing timely updates, and corresponding with tax authorities through disclosures, VAT refund claims, and VAT rulings; andOverseeing VAT projects, providing leadership, mentoring and developing junior team members, and supervising and reviewing the work of project teams.
In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Law, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four years of experience as stated above.
Position requires approximately 15% travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
