Looking for a Candidate to fill A BIG ROLE at a solid Transportation Company in the DFW Area:

Director of Accounting & Administration will need to wear multiple hats. In addition to accounting function, we are looking for someone with a strong human resource, legal, risk management and compliance background.

The successful candidate will have 10 15 years experience in the logistics industry, preferably working in the asset/non-asset side of domestic transportation. The candidate will need to be a hands on type of manager and play a key role in communicating with senior management in strategic decision making and operations of the company. Responsibilities:

Human Resources, legal, risk management, compliance and administration:


  • Responsible for all HR functions, such as the recruiting process assist in the creation of job the description and coordinating interviews with candidates (via recruiter(s)) and the proper company employee(s); employee training; assist in coaching and counseling; handling sensitive internal HR issues, including terminating employees
  • Update required HR materials (handbooks, policies and procedures)
  • Review all legal agreements
  • Insure the company is in compliance with the Company s compliance programs and appropriate training
  • Participate in the risk management review and coordinate the resolution of issues with the company s insurance dept. and the insurance broker
  • Participate in insurance claims activity, including reporting to senior management and creating policy and procedures
  • Accounting

    • Manage and participate in the month-end closing process, and the preparation of monthly financials
    • Participate in the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and senior management
    • Update and implement necessary business policies and procedures
    • Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to senior management

    Qualifications


    • Minimum-Accounting degree, ideally with an MBA/CPA
    • At least 10-15 years of experience, and a minimum of 7 years being involved in all areas stated above
    • Successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external individuals
    • A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-pace environment
    • Experience with the accounting package - Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
    • Japanese speaking preferred but not required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
