The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Salary: $26 Per Hour
Location: Dallas, TX / Fort Worth, TX
Hours: 8am to 5pm (ON CALL)
Responsibilities:
Install new heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems according to specifications and codes.
Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify malfunctions and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
Test HVAC systems for proper functioning and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
Respond to emergency service calls to repair or replace malfunctioning equipment.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients to explain technical issues and solutions.
Stay updated on industry advancements and new technologies to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, while performing all job duties.
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred.
HVAC technician certification or relevant license required.
Proven experience as an HVAC technician, with expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
Working Conditions:
HVAC Technicians typically work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in cramped or uncomfortable spaces. They may be exposed to extreme temperatures and hazardous materials. The job may require standing, bending, lifting, and climbing. Technicians often work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak seasons or in response to emergency service calls.
