YOUR PURPOSE:
The Director of Engineering Strategy and Operations will direct all administrative, budgetary, project and program management activities as a direct report to the Head of Engineering (Software Development, Cloud DevOps, Web and Mobile, Architecture, CRM and ERP applications). You will be driving operational excellence throughout the organization with a strong focus on execution KPIs and Continuous Improvement, enabling the team to succeed and exceed on strategic business engagement and technology delivery.
As a senior leader and trusted advisor to executive business partners and Engineering senior leadership you will apply experience and influencing skills to secure the highest level of organizational effectiveness and execution.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of senior leaders in project/program management, process design and continuous improvement
Execution lead for Engineering strategic transformation programs and initiatives
Establish and run Engineering project management office
Manage and track organizational execution metrics and budget according to plan
Create and enforce structure and common processes within the team and in partnership with CTO Strategy and Planning Office (PMO) to streamline operations
Instrument and operationalize organization-wide intake process and business alignment practices
Track and implement quarterly and yearly planning processes along with IT allocation procedures for the organization
Streamline practice for creating consolidated and business aligned technology roadmaps
Drive Quarterly C-Suite Business Reviews, schedules and content
Create and review internal communications, newsletters and presentations
Chief of Staff function, schedule and run regular leadership staff meetings
Manage and drive urgency in staffing/hiring planning and execution with organizational leadership
Create close partnership with governance and instrumentation teams on metric and analytics requirements
Program and project execution status tracking, reporting and consolidation
Partner with the office of the CTO to drive centrally managed governance, process and procedures throughout the organization.
Present and own all operational metrics and KPI report outs to C-Suite staff stakeholder communities
Leader for managing and tracking focus areas for issue resolution, investment and resource planning
Research industry trends and benchmarks, run regular comparisons, analyze and make recommendations
Work actively with multiple stakeholders, business and IT, to help drive decisions in a timely manner
Provide oversight for large, cross-functional, programs and initiatives
Owner and leader for the annual strategic plan for the organization including quarterly updates.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or MBA required

years of senior leadership experience in a strategy and planning, technical operations and/or chief of staff role
Proven experience in leading strategy and planning and/or Chief of Staff functions in a large-scale, high growth enterprise environment.
Proven experience in running functional and business transformation programs
Strong track record of leading high performing PMO groups and implementing agile, scaled agile (SAFe) and waterfall execution frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in building process improvement teams and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Deep knowledge of Agile and project portfolio management tools such as Jira, Clarity and Planisware, including Technology Business Management platforms such as Apptio.
Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
Strong knowledge and experienced in data driven decision making methodologies
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent people management skills, including minimum of 5-years experience in managing multi-level teams

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and telephone equipment, extensive phone and computer communication is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
