Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in the Energy industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger accounting system and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Perform owner relations task
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- File monthly reports with government agencies (tax, production, etc.)
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing
- Coding and inputting AP & Non-op invoices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2
years of experience in GL accounting and account reconciliation - Experience in the Energy oil and gas industry preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
