This position is an outstanding opportunity to create widely used software which solves varied PDK development and PDK QC issues. The candidate will be a central to TI's efficiency in releasing PDKs, will provide interfaces that most TI designers and software all PDK developers use. This is a key technical contributor role. An appreciable understanding of TI's product development flow will be obtained by the candidate. Candidate will develop state-of-the-art device level computer aided design (CAD) environments for advanced mixed-signal semiconductor process technologies and regularly refine the procedures and techniques used to develop these environments to improve quality and reduce product development time.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Develop, deliver and support software tools used to create process design kits (PDKs)
- Develop, deliver and support software tools associated with relational database interactions, configuration management & software release mechanisms, and PDK/software quality checks
- Maintain tools which manipulate CAD environment (e.g. technology files, parameterized cells (pcells), QRC and other kit elements)
- Define, spec and architect new tools which improve overall PDK development, release and QC efficiency
The preferred candidate will also have
- Familiarity with CMOS and/or BiCMOS Process/Fabrication Technologies
- Basic understanding of semiconductor device physics analog and mixed signal circuit design
- Experience with Cadence design environment, design kit creation and/or using relational databases
- Configuration management software knowledge working with tools like ClearCase, DesignSync, Subversion, or git
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, electrical engineering/computer science, or a related field of study
- Must have 3.0/4.0 or higher overall GPA
- Have knowledge of linux programing skills in PERL and one or more of the following: skill, ruby, java, python or C/C++
