Looking for an equipment-centric fab engineer to support the Implant/Epi module. Primary responsibilities will be around all aspects of Quality, Cost and Productivity improvements on 150/200mm Varian, GSD, and AMAT Implanters. The engineer must be willing to help drive the module to the next level of performance. Secondary duties will be support of the Epi tools.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Own and manage both implant process and equipment
- Support manufacturing and other engineering organizations in defining and executing projects that improve cycle time, equipment availability, multi-probe yield, process yield and cost reductions
- Improve equipment performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive down events.
- Monitor and analyze all related data to improve/maintain tool performance and address all issues.
- Improve tool performance by investigating and eliminating tool faults/downs
- Analyze cost of ownership of tools and implement quality changes to reduce CoO.
- Leverage fab experience to benchmark with other fabs and tool vendors to drive improved performance on all fab metrics.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, engineering physics, electrial and computer engineering or a related field of study
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in wafer fabs
- Understands wafer fab processes and equipment
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Experience with Implant processing and AMAT, Varian, and Axcelis Implant equipment
- Knowledge of SMS, SPC, DOE, SAP and fab safety requirements
- knowledge of CMOS wafer fabrication and transistor integration / performance
- Excellent organizational, teaming and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical issues and analysis both within and outside of the group
- Be able to work effectively in a teaming environment with facilities and tool vendors
EPI process and equipment experience is a plus.
