Positions Overview
Responsible for supervision and coordination of the Law Department's support functions such as office administrative staff, systems, library, records center, docketing and operations contracts for a department of approximately 100+. Coordinates staff training and other department meetings, including periodic workshops for lawyers worldwide. Leads regular systems meetings to prioritize projects. Responsible for cost-center budgeting of the business functions (office administrative staff, systems, library, records center, facilities, office equipment, supplies, mail and copy center). Duties include supervising a team of about 20 administrative resources.
We are looking for someone self-motivated, an independent leader, highly organized, trustworthy, accurate and timely. Must have and exercise good judgment. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have the ability to work well with all levels of an organization and the flexibility to work independently as well as with teams. Must be able to lead and motivate a team. Familiar with legal software applications and technologically savvy.
Ideal Candidate will have 3-5
years supervisory experience in a law firm/legal environment as well as experience working with all levels of management. Bachelors Business Administration, HR/Labor Relations, Law Office Administration are types of degrees well suited for this role.
