About the job:
- Execute on pre-silicon verification of mixed signal and digital design aspects of Business Unit products.
- Create re-usable test benches from grounds up using advanced verification methodologies (like UVM, OVM etc.) with emphasis towards behavioral modeling of analog blocks, closed-loop simulation with digital design and analog behavioral models and/or transistors by using Cadence Virtuoso schematic editor and ICFB tool environment, and automated & coverage-driven verification.
- Create and maintain verification plans, drive DV audits & verification reviews, and work with the entire product team to close issues through bug tracking for a first pass success.
Basic
Qualifications:
- BSEE with 7
years of experience in Mixed Signal Design Verification or MSEE with 3
years of experience in Mixed Signal Design Verification.
- Experienced with successful tapeout of mixed-signal products from verification plan to sign-off by means of reusable self-checking test bench development, coverage models, assertion based checking (PSL/SVA), and automated constrained-random verification methodologies like UVM, OVM or like with focus towards closed-loop simulations using Behavioral Modeling of Analog blocks, Mixed-Signal circuits and systems.
- Experienced in creating verification plans, scripting & tool usage with familiarity on using SystemVerilog, Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A & Verilog behavioral modeling as event based models, Cadence Virtuoso schematic editor, ICFB tool environment, PERL, shell scripting, irun, bug tracking, configuration management (e.g. CDDS, DesignSync, ClearCase etc.), regression management, protocols and standards like Ethernet, Optical Networking, Serdes, DSI, USB, DisplayPort, HDMI and in general on communication, consumer & industrial related standards etc.
- Fast learner & eager to make verification a long term career goal with ability to be a team player with good verbal & written communication skills and to be able to multi-task & work well with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:
1. Assertion methodology in Analog, and Formal Verification
2. Following simulation expertise:
- Fully well versed at using UVM, OVM, VMM & eRM in all their entirety
- Capability to use realistic voltage-derating capacitor models in your simulations
- Capability to use SimVision Interactive GUI for debug & viewing of AMS simulations
- Capability to use Supply Sensitive or Inherited AMS connect modules
- Capability to do Schematic-to-Schematic comparison flow in Assura
- Capability to do Schematic deep dives from perspective of DV
3. Analog transistor-level design or SPICE simulation experience
4. Understanding of the full digital flow from RTL, synthesis, place-and-route, timing closure, SPEF, SDF, and Gate-Level Sims
5. System-level experience in understanding and defining chip-to-chip interaction, board layout and component effects, cable models
6. Capability to do bench level testing in lab on actual silicon
