Summary
Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of medium to high complexity operational databases, transactional databases, data warehouses and dimensionally modeled data marts. In addition, the role requires providing support for existing data stores (both transactional and analytical). Participates in, leads or influences the establishment of information management standards for lines of business or for the entire System.
Responsible for working with the Systems Analyst (Business and Data) to translate business requirements into technical solutions, provide guidance to the ETL developers to ensure successful implementation, and assist the project manager in identifying technical risks; will act as technical expert on the team and is responsible for technical completion of assigned project components; and serve as a team member responsible for organizing data, ensuring at the macro level that the data assets of the ARC Data platform are managed following best practices and at the micro level are organized in data models and other appropriate manners as which to present to users.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Define data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization.
Design data architectures for operational databases, data stores, data marts and data warehouses.
Ensure information assets are identified, managed and leveraged across the organization.
Collaborate with database analyst/administrator on the physical database implementation.
Develop technical requirements and design documents .
Create standards based on Industry Best Practices.
Lead (and collaborate) on documentation of all elements of data architecture environment including hardware, software, data dictionaries, coding standards, query standards, and any additionally related needs.
Develop data models based on business rules (conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional).
Identify information flows and transforms business requirements into logical data models.
Identify opportunities to reduce data redundancy and increase data reuse.
Design controls and monitoring mechanisms to ensure data integrity, consistency, quality, security, and efficient data integration between information systems.
Manage data throughout the lifecycle including creation, maintenance, deletion, backup, recovery, and performance.
Collaborate with Software Architect and development team to ensure alignment with technology strategy, data integration and architecture standards and patterns.
Define data movement solution strategy for data movement initiatives, including data strategy for loading information into data warehouse solutions.
Provide estimates for project delivery for data architecture responsibilities and facilitate estimation of database and storage needs.
Develop project and/or work stream plans for data architecture tasks that align to overall project delivery plans
Architect data solutions that are in alignment with FRS strategic technology roadmap and industry trends.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications - Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert in Relational Database technology (SQL Server required).
Expert in Dimensional modeling techniques.
Experience in designing large scale relational data models (conceptual, logical and physical) for optimal performance while maintaining data integrity.
Experience in designing large scale dimensional data models (conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional) for optimal performance while maintaining data integrity.
Experience in modeling and managing structured and unstructured data.
Expert understanding of data integration; development expertise with at least one ETL tool (Informatica preferred). Understanding of Informatica architecture preferred.
Experience with various information modeling techniques (such as data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, dimensional modeling, or create/read/update/delete matrices) and tools.
Experience with Master Data Management preferred.
Experience with Data Quality preferred.
Experience with software development lifecycle practices including Iterative and Agile.
Understanding of BI Tools preferred
EDUCATION &
Experience:
At least four years of experience as a Data Architect or Senior DBA.
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field of study.
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
WORK HOURS & CONDITIONS:
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On-call support and overtime as required by work schedules or management

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
