Dallas - .net developer
Responsible for building state-of-the-art web applications including being involved in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation within the Greyhound environment. Should have a good vision for front-end development and back-end operations with the ability to work in a development team and with key stake holders to deliver enterprise class systems. Implement complex software and program functionality using Microsoft .Net technologies.
KEY DUTIES
Completes technical analysis, design, and coding for projects using C#,ASP.Net, MVC.
Ensures that all code conforms to Greyhound software coding practices and standards and that all code is being properly unit tested.
Ensures system integrity and assists in installation of technological upgrades, implementation and training to support new programs/system.
Provides accurate and timely status reporting as needed, including task and time reporting.
Constantly learns and improves technical knowledge and expertise during software development.
Experience with Sitecore/any other CMS a plus.
Front end-experience using HTML,CSS and jQuery to create user-friendly web pages.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.
4-6 years of hands on experience developing, implementing and delivering application development solutions for ecommerce projects.
Strong experience with MVC (4.5 or 5.0 strongly preferred), HTML and CSS
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and support.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills and effectively collaborates with other team members and project stakeholders.
Experience with JavaScript libraries like Knockout.js, Backbone.js, Angular.js, Handlebars.js and/or Node.js
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with core Greyhound Technologies such as:
Microsoft Technologies - C#, ASP.Net, SQL, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JavaScript, JSON
Web/Server Technologies IIS, .NET Framework, SSL, Browsers
Relational Databases SQL Server, DTS/SSIS,
Other Technologies XML, HTML/DHTML, CSS, UML, Telerik
Familiar with Agile development process, Scrum and TDD
