Application Support Specialist
Successful candidate will serve as Tier 2 operations support for a large 24x7 ERP system (thousands of users) and associated reporting database region. Responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to:
- Monitor the production system's background tasks and long-running batch or reporting jobs. - Monitor and resolve lock contention on the target system. - Perform direct SQL updates to resolve failures in background tasks and re-run these tasks to completion. - Assist lead DBA in scripting database and system administration tasks. - Work with lead DBA to define, create/adapt, and share system monitoring toolset. - Act as on-call support for overnight batch jobs and disaster recovery mirroring. - Script and automate basic data import and export jobs.
