Content Specialist
The position can operate remotely and can be in anywhere a Gexpro office is located.
The Content Specialist is responsible for creating, organizing and maintaining product content that is utilized in various Rexel USA and Gexpro eCommerce tools, including webshops. The position reports to the eCommerce Commercial Content Manager. The Content Specialist will work with the Sales, Purchasing, Sourcing, IT, Marketing, and CSC/GSC Teams, as well as third party data providers, to identify product content requirements, integrate data from internal and external sources, and help determine content maintenance solutions. This position will also have overall ownership for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to obtain the enriched product content needed for web content.
Key
Responsibilities:
Collect product data, including media, from internal and external sources including current product databases, suppliers, and 3rd party data providers
Scrub product data to ensure product attribute/content consistency and completeness and to optimize product search
Maintain data used in eCommerce applications, including adding new products, and managing obsolescence and substitutions
Measure and improve data integrity; identify and fix inaccuracies
Become knowledgeable in new applications and systems to ensure correct/optimal use of product content
Act as resource to sales teams on eCommerce product features
Generate supplier scorecard and statistics on content completeness
Requirements:
3
years of experience in electrical distribution sales, operations, sourcing, customer service
Solid project/task management skills and attention to detail
Ability to analyze and summarize data for reporting
Intermediate Excel skills
Capability to learn/gain expertise in new systems & applications
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple/concurrent activities
Proven track record of working well independently and delivering quality output in tight timeframes
Ability to work seamlessly in matrixed organizations
Qualifications:
BS / BA degree
Demonstrated orientation to challenge the status quo, initiate change and suggest & implement process improvements
Electrical product knowledge
Strong preference for fluency in Spanish
