Prime Vendor Analyst

Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Assigned to specific National Account Groups in which one is to analyze and support the sales organization as well as the customer through reporting tools, metrics, pricing efficiencies and systems. Plan and prepare business, financial and data analysis and reports. Position will be on site at a customer's corporate office, located in Mechanicsburg PA CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Create, maintain, and develop relationships with the customer, Medline contacts and vendor community. 2. Serve as initial point of contact for customers' new and existing vendors. Meet with vendors to discuss products, pricing and terms. Present findings to key contacts in the customer's procurement team. 3. Measure the trends, efficiencies and effectiveness of sales and resource allocation and utilization. Prepare and analyze sales forecast, sales results, budget variances, and quarterly business presentations. 4. Support sales team by managing contract terms, assisting with brand conversions, and tracking all savings and projects. Make presentations regarding project updates, business results, committee findings, etc. 5. Review pricing to determine items that are priced outside of the normal predetermined range for typical customers of that market type. Ensure new pricing rules are first reviewed and evaluated for their impact for final implementation. 6. Evaluate 3rd party industry pricing data being marketed and sold to Medline customers to understand what information is being provided and implications to the Company. 7. Provide issue resolution in the following areas (not limited to): inventory surplus, backorders, outstanding invoices. Initiate and partner with the internal teams. Communicate resolution in a timely manner. 8. Coordinate new business bids as effectively crossed to the appropriate Medline product 9. Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customers and sales team to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. 10. Build and maintain effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with senior-level corporate and regional decision makers at the group. Job Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics or Applied Statistics. Will be considered: High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience in sales analysis and support. Relevant Work Experience At least 1 year of experience in sales analysis and support Additional -Ability to successfully apply standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables. -Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. -Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. -Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table). -Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font). -Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, volume. -Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
