The incumbent will serve as a Program Analyst, Assistant Regional Inspector General (ARIG), in all areas of the regional evaluation process, from study development through report follow up. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Serving as a recognized expert and advisor to the Regional Inspector General (RIG). Developing and executing complex evaluations of programs in healthcare and human services, requiring advanced data analysis and writing. Assisting the RIG in strategic planning, development of internal policies and procedures, quality assurance related to data and analysis, higher-level report review, and team building. Applying specialized knowledge on programs, data, and their interrelationships to advise RIG and senior OEI leadership regarding project development. Assisting the RIG in developing policies and procedures regarding all matters of regional work, including personnel, administrative functions, training, operations, and quality control. Creating special projects and training to advance the methods and work of the region and organization. Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements, and any additional requirements described below within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Applicants must have 1 year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) that demonstrates experience in at least three of the following:
experience writing compelling findings that assess issues related to health care and/or human services; experience communicating to a diverse audience in a clear and concise manner; experience collecting information from multiple sources, including questionnaires or interviews with leaders, providers, and beneficiaries in health care and/or human services; experience using analytical techniques in a policy area related to health care and/or human services; OR experience teaching or training others in collecting and analyzing information, and writing compelling findings. In addition to meeting the specialized experience described above, the applicant must submit a 2000-5000 word professional writing sample that discusses research on a topic related to health care and/or human services. It should be clear for what purpose the writing sample was produced (entity and employed position), and the sample should be persuasive, structured in a way that takes a position on the topic, and providing points to support the position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume should include the dates of all qualifying experience (from month/year to month/year) and the number of hours worked/volunteered per week.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
