The Division of Administration (DOA) Regional Manager collaborates with the DOA Senior Leadership on planning, developing and coordinating administrative programs, operations, and procedures throughout the Regions that lead to recommendations and decisions having significant impact on policy implementation, program effectiveness, efficient resource utilization, and successful interaction with related programs and operations of other FDIC organizational components. Provides advice in the form of management policy guidance to complex proposals surfaced by subordinate supervisors and resolve complex issues. Plans, manages, reviews, directs, analyzes, evaluates, and coordinates the most complex management matters in assigned Regional and/or Area Office(s) relating to administration, human resources, corporate services, facilities management, physical security, contract oversight, procurement, and ethics. Participates in consolidating and supporting formal budget program requests to senior officials, providing justification for major program changes, developing or revising policy. Exercises supervisory personnel management authority, either directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors, over regional staff and multiple administrative programs to ensure effective business operations, resolve problems, and gain the support of supervisors and employees for management policies and goals. Provides advice in form of management policy guidance to complex proposals surfaced by subordinate supervisors and staff to resolve complex issues. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinate employees; plans and carries out training and educational development; evaluates employee's work performance; and recommends selections, promotions awards, disciplinary actions for subordinate staff. Establishes and maintains liaison with regional counterparts, other organizational elements of the FDIC, officials of other regulatory and investigative agencies, and representatives of private industry to gain cooperation and support of top policymaking officials within and outside the agency. Articulates DOA policies/procedures and gains cooperation and support of key stakeholders within and outside the agency. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Additional qualifications information can be found here.In order to qualify for this position, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience in private industry and/or in a government agency (equivalent in the federal government to CG/GS-14 or above). Specialized experience is described as experience leading and managing multiple administrative operations programs in at least one of the following two areas:
Leading, directing, planning, and coordinating lease acquisition and management for multiple locations, physical security, building management, and corporate services programs, or Leading, directing, planning, and coordinating at least two of the following human capital program areas:
a) hiring/staffing operations; b) employee relations; c) labor-management relations; d) recruitment programs; or e) position management programs. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
