Mission Support Specialist

As a Mission Support Specialist you will perform the following duties:
Independently manages acquisition portfolio, in coordination with approved budget and contract schedule. Prepares and reviews technical specifications pertaining to all aspects of the product or service being procured and researches the best acquisition approach. Provides sound, well-researched responses to internal or external stakeholders that are affected by the situations under analysis and who may vigorously support their interests by challenging facts and disputing methods, approaches, and principles. Provides comprehensive advice to supervisors, managers, and employees on complex and sensitive issues. You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Oversees activities and provides guidance to programs purchase card holders and approving officials. Serves as a trouble-shooter, providing guidance on problems with innovative and creative solutions that require deviation from accepted methods. Prepares memos, decision statements and recommendations on these issuances for managerial consideration. Leads technical evaluation panels to assess the effectiveness of the contractor's proposal in meeting the solicitation terms and performance expectations. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Analyzes disputed, interrelated information, requiring substantial research, interpretation of facts, and depth of analysis. Conducts studies and analyzes metrics to measure program success as well as develops recommendations to improve processes and operations. Ensures full adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Federal appropriations law, and agency specific directives, policy memorandums, procedures, and government acquisition or purchase card manuals. Obtains approval, confirms availability of funds and validates the obligation of funds, prior to the acquisition of any product or service. Selective Placement Factor(s):
Selective placement factors are applied in the same manner as minimum qualification requirements. Relevant selective placement factor experience must be well documented in your resume. In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following selective placement factor(s):
Possess a FAC-COR Level II or a FAC-COR Level III; OR Possess a FAC-C Level I, FAC-C Level II, or FAC-C Level III Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
