As a Supervisory Financial Program Specialist you will perform the following duties:
Planning and ensuring performance of a large number of concurrent and complex financial systems; Manage the maintenance, auditing, and reconciliations of general and subsidiary ledger accounts, as well as prepare reports, and control funds through subordinate employees; Evaluate work associated with accounts payable, deposits, immigrations bonds, or accounts receivable; Prepare financial reports and analyses designed to identify program vulnerabilities and formulate corrective action; and Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, with selective consideration for the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
examining and maintaining financial accounts and accounting data; evaluating legislation, regulations, legal opinions and decision having contractual and debt management implications; recommending policies or procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations; and directing a team/employees on both work and administrative matters. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
