The urologist provides a variety of services including pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery including treatment of lesions, biopsies, urological laser procedures, enucleation, stent insertion, and prostate surgery. Provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, ICU, ward, and clinic settings as needed, to include on-call coverage. Provides critical care related direct care. The incumbent may also be involved in program planning, objectives, policies, and standards essential to delivery of quality Urological care. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing quality inpatient/outpatient care in accordance with approved clinical privileges. Maintaining a high degree of excellence in clinical outcomes while providing efficient patient care throughout. Maintaining professional competency, courtesy and flexibility and providing the necessary services of this specialty. Attending to assigned clinics, taking an active role in the evaluation of all assigned patients, making decisions for treatment/care, and completing timely documentation in the patient electronic records. Collaborative patient management, working closely with other departments and sections within the Health Care System to coordinate care as needed. Attending all meetings required by the Organization and the Surgery Service in particular. Proficient in General Urology with the ability to independently perform a wide variety of Urological procedures as needed. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
able to perform cystoscopy; able to diagnose and manage BPH; able to diagnose and treat bladder cancer; able to perform all routine cytoscopic procedures including removal of small bodies and stents; perform hematuria workup; completion of urology residency. Reference:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
