Merchandise Planner

We are currently seeking a Planner to join our team who is responsible for developing merchandise plans that support the merchandise strategy and company financial objectives in dollars, units and cost metrics.
Candidate is also responsible for Store level planning process.
Reforecasting sales and inventory weekly to address trends and changes in market.
Communicate risks and opportunities to Buyers in order to achieve financial plans.
Responsibilities include:
Build financial merchandise plans by family of business that supports the merchandise strategy and financial objectives.
Utilize historical data and current market trends to support the buy process and deliver the plan.
Create category plans that support Family level financial plans.
Consume merchandise plans to develop weekly Store sales and unit stock plans.
Manage Store Planning system parameters applying sales modifiers as needed based on trends and maintain lower level assortment eligibility.
Compile weekly sales, markdown, inventory, and vendor data and provide analysis that supports risks or opportunities to current forecasts.
Manage OTB weekly and participate in Monthly Forecasting and Strategy meetings with Buyers.
Ensure stock levels are sufficient to support sales trends and maximize inventory productivityDevelop ad hoc reports as needed to drive or react to current and future business.
Interpret trends in order to drive sales and increase merchandise productivity.
Maintain open communications and develop working relationships within the merchant group.
Build partnerships with Buyers and Allocators.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Excellent leadership and communication skillsStrong analytical/statistical skills including comprehensive understanding of retail math concepts and formulation of business plansAbility to analyze open to buy and develop forecast and recommend in-season action to minimize riskAbility to utilize store level data to recommend store clustering based on similar attributes across product and locationsUse logical thought process to solve complex problemsFlexible and adaptable to changeExperience with planning & allocation software; specifically MMS, MID or Logility ROAdvanced level Microsoft Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulationEducation and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field and minimum of 5 years' experience in Planning & Allocation or an equivalent combination of education and retail allocation experience.
Off-Price retail experience preferredExperience with breadth of product assortment/classes, etc.
Minimum of 2 years Merchandise planning experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
