Sales Incentive Compensation Associate - Dallas

The Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC) Associate (L5) will focus on providing standardization, rigor and process to the AWS SIC exception approval process, from how we capture SIC exceptions, processes and tools to how we deliver the results to our audiences.
They will be responsible for developing high-quality content in submitting exceptions in the AWS Approval tool and ensure proper approval routing.
The role requires deep collaboration with SMEs including sales operations, SIC Operations and Policy & Governance colleagues.
This individual will help to drive a self-service approach, addressing knowledge gaps to reduce exceptions.
In addition this role will be responsible for providing the exception approval process and training content for the SIC training curriculum.
The AWS SIC exception approval is a centralized process with a single global tool that is leveraged to ensure exceptions are processed consistency across AWS, produce reports and develop insights into the actions being taken related to SIC exceptions across the business.
The tool that is used is the Amazon Approvals Tool which today supports the full end-to-end process.
This process helps us provide a standard and consist process and thorough governance oversight, mitigate many of the associated risks, and provide a solid strategic foundation around SIC exceptions.
The process today addresses the front and back-end portions of the process - how sales reps submit initial requests including how geo and central sales operations respond to those inquiries, through how SIC Operations is notified once approvals are complete and ready for actions.
This position will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, routing and ensuring timely closures.
This includes thoroughly investigation and due diligence to ensure accuracy and management understanding of the request through actions required to resolve.
This individual is responsible for the holistic solution for the centralized single global exception approval process--exception submissions to the end to end workflow.
Typical areas of responsibility include anticipating and planning for both short- and long-term SIC exception needs and trends; developing process improvements, including templates; and developing associated reporting and metrics.
Key Responsibilities Assist in the exception approval process from review to action--compliance and understanding, approval routing, actions and reporting Maintains and applies best-practice understanding of SIC Plans and SPIFs more specifically SIC Plan principles and frameworks Supports weekly business reviews and reporting Identifies key analytics to drive clarity of exceptions and reason codes Supports the implementation, training and communicates of the exception approval changes Provides the expertise and data analysis to maintain alignment between strategic objectives and incentive practices Makes recommendations for process and exception approval process effectiveness improvements Supports programs to ensure effective plan governance (including design process, plan documentation, policy review and exception approval processes) Provides input and consultation to sales operations and sales management to ensure understanding and consistency Prepares formal and informal presentations for business stakeholders On-going production of formal business writing in a narrative format as primary means of conveying ideas, proposals and assessments to management and stakeholders Collaborates with sales leadership, sales operations, finance, legal and HR as it relates to the exception approval process, incorporating Enterprise philosophy, and demonstrating sound understanding of business and desired behaviors Provides input to the SIC Policy and Governance team, clearly articulating business case to educate and develop support for changes to the SIC plans and SPIFs Provides input into the designs, implementation process, monitors and analyzes SPIF and other incentives.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects/exceptions in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
They must be willing to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done while insisting on the highest standards and measuring the impact of the learning experiences they build.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Provide direction for the SIC team as it relates to developing and improving documentation, track progress, coordinate improvement efforts, and monitor process improvements.
Coordinate and design training materials and content:
training documents, exercises and assessments.
Use appropriate tools and delivery methods relative to usage and need--Wisdom, Wiki pages, Training platforms, etc.
Develop scalable modules to maximize content re-use and ensure training programs are consistent and ready for a potentially global audience.
Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the organization by being a trusted advisor, facilitator and creative problem solver.
Implement continuous improvements to the SIC and sales organization and the program management process.
Share program/project process frameworks, tools, and best practices that can be adopted throughout the organization.
Facilitate scoping meetings with subject-matter-experts and technical project leads.
Continually evaluate solutions for quality, business impact, and scalability.
Develop assessments that measure learner outcomes.
LOCATION FLEXIBILITY:
Position may be located in Seattle, Dallas, Boston, DC or Arlington, VA.
Relocation offered from within the US only to these locations.
